As requested (a lot) after posting this quick how-to on Instagram, here is my latest go-to breakfast to start my day with a whole bunch of satiating, energy-giving, nutrient-dense protein. And it’s all thanks to cottage cheese.
With the demands of breastfeeding, motherhood, fitness, work, and adventure, I’ve been very intentionally consuming LOTS of protein lately, and the impact is clear. I’ve noticed more energy, quicker strength gains, more balanced blood sugar, better sleep, and faster recovery, and I am here for it.
Whey is one of the highest quality, most absorbable proteins in the world, with a digestible indispensable amino acid score (DIAAS) of 133, plus, all 9 essential amino acids and BCAAs. This complete protein is essential for building and maintaining muscle and burning fat.
But gone are the days of needing poor-quality protein powders to meet our protein needs (because I am not here for that). Paleovalley’s whey proteins are made from 100% grass-fed dairy, digestive enzymes, coconut powder, real vanilla or cocoa, and colostrum, which decreases gut permeability (leaky gut), encourages the production of healthy gut bacteria, enhances immune cell activity, and supports healthy inflammation levels.
All that and it’s the best tasting whey I have ever had. So, it’s no wonder it’s become the start of my whey whipped cottage cheese, which I’ve now enjoyed so many ways – with so much flavor-packed nourishment – that I had to share here.

This simple recipe for whipped cottage cheese has been on repeat over here. With over 40g of protein, so much nourishment, loads of flavor, and so many ways to enjoy, I don’t think it will ever get old!
I’ve enjoyed this one now with different add-ins (with both chocolate and vanilla whey options) and a variety of toppings too, and it’s time to share with you.
Save this one to come back to and let me know if you find new fun combos to enjoy. Happy (nourishing, delectable) protein eating, friends.
Simplify this by batch making the whipped cottage cheese with a whole container. It’s delicious for the next few days too!
