There’s something about the shift to autumn, that has me wanting all things Chai. And lately, I’ve been loving swapping my morning boosted coffee for a mushroom chai latte with all the flavor of fall and so much nourishment too.
This chai can be made caffeinated or decaf. It’s got the benefits of mushrooms thanks to FreshCap. It’s protein packed. And it’s SO delicious, with the perfect amount of sweet thanks to a date (also nourishing, and for any pregnant mamas, great for helping to speed up that labor and delivery too).
So, cheers to a new season, nourishing and soul warming sips, and the flavors of fall.

homemade chai latte
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 6-8oz filtered water
- 1 date, pit removed
- 1 scoop collagen of your choice (I love Paleovalley’s Bone Broth Protein – save 15% with code: RADICALROOTS)
- 1 chai tea bag and/or 1-2 scoops Blue Lotus Chai
- 1 packet of your favorite FreshCap mushroom elixir (I love Lions Mane – with code: RADICALROOTS)
- 4 oz of raw cream (or your favorite milk substitute)
- a pinch of cinnamon
WHAT YOU DO:
- boil water and then pour over tea bag (if using) and date in a mug
- let steep for 5-10 minutes and then move to blender with collagen and blend until date is fully dissolved.
- meanwhile, steam your cream or milk, or warm in a sauce pan (I can’t speak highly enough about my ceramic frother; game changer).
- add chai powder (if using) + mushroom elixir to your mug and pour blended water over, then stir till powders are dissolved.
- pour steamed milk over the top, give it a gentle stir, sprinkle with cinnamon, and ENJOY!
