Something about the fall into winter season has me craving arugula salads with warm roasted squash and winter fruit (persimmons, pomegranate, or apple) filled salads with goat cheese, avocado, and leftover roasted chicken. YUM. See my favorite autumn-inspired salad HERE.
I never host a holiday dinner without a salad. It’s nice to have something fresh among the hearty winter dishes, and if made right, a salad can vie for the position of star of the plate. And this year, I am taking my salads up a notch with the creamy, delicious, flavor-packed balsamic dressing. Get ready to wow your dinner guests (and yourself) with this one again and again.
We also love it as a sauce on sandwiches, a drizzle over warm roasted brussels sprouts, and even a sourdough pizza topper.
And the whole family approves (even the girls and my salad-skeptical husband).
Happy salad enjoying, friends!
