honey nut butter drizzle

This is another Sunday off-line unexpected recipe creation!

Every Sunday, we make either sourdough pancakes or sourdough waffles using the recipe from my Sourdough Sisterhood Recipe book (the waffles get a couple small tweaks: add 2x butter and 2x eggs). This past Sunday, I wanted to top mine with nut butter and banana, but wanted something a little more drizzly and less thick.

We recently got a special delivery of local raw goat milk from a friend, and so I got creative, and added milk and a little honey to fresh ground nut butter, and BOOM! Honey nut butter drizzle was born.

You can use whatever kind of milk you have on hand, and choose between maple syrup or honey, tweaking sweetness level as desired. This is a total win. I’ll be making it weekly to top on sourdough toast, smoothie bowls, and our favorite waffles!

Enjoy, friends!

honey nut butter drizzle

  • Servings: 8+
  • Difficulty: super easy
  • Print

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1/2 cup nut butter of your choice (I used an almond butter/cashew butter combo)
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice (this has worked for us with both Rise oat milk and raw goat milk)
  • 1+ teaspoon of honey (sweeten to your liking)
  • optional: a sprinkle of cinnamon or cacao for extra flavor

WHAT YOU DO:

Add nut butter, honey, and 1/4 cup of milk and blend with an immersion blender (or even by hand with a spatula or fork if you want to work those arm muscles).

Continue adding milk a splash at a time until you get your desired consistency.

Store extra in an airtight container in the fridge (I heat mine up a little before using for better drizzle-ability).

Drizzle on whatever craving hits and ENJOY

Enjoy friends! If you enjoy this one, I’d love to hear about it! Comment below or tag me on social media. Sending love and nourishment, now and always!

Hugs, Laura
