Cheers to a great 2015. Loads of change came my way (and by no happenstance also to Radical Roots). The blog got a whole new facelift. I moved to a whole new state. I explored the forests and beaches of the Pacific Northwest, picked wild blackberries, grew our first bit of food, foraged for mushrooms, and climbed trees. I met some amazing new friends and am building my tribe in my new home and developed great relationships in the blogging world that led to some really fun podcasts and interviews (here, here, and here). And I created and enjoyed a whole bunch of new recipes for the sharing. Thank you for following along. Thank you for commenting, sharing, questioning, and for simply being you. ♡
And now 2016 has some beautiful things in store. I don’t want to spoil too much now, but stay tuned for new recipes, a book, and some kick ass collaborations. But for now, I am enjoying the moment and ringing in the new year with my little family in the beautiful city of Victoria, BC. Wishing you all a wonderful New Years celebration filled with love, joy, and your favorite people.
To make it easier to ring in the new year without getting too tipsy, I’ve created a delicious seasonal cider sangria featuring my favorite Finnriver cider! These bubbles are brought to you by a combination of organic cranberry rose hip cider, organic fruits and pure fruit juices, spiced kombucha, and cinnamon, and the outcome is purely delicious and nutritious too (can’t say that about your bubbly too often). So here’s the recipe, and it’s an extra special one because when you make this drink and cheers in the New Year, it’s like a piece of me is there with you celebrating a wonderful year. Cheers!
