Note: even if you’re not seed cycling, these are delicious and nourishing! I’ve enjoyed through pregnancy and postpartum for nourishment, energy, and breastmilk production! I’ve love a combo of hemp, chia, and flax, and it's delicious. ok, on to the goods… Apparently, I am on an oats kick. Last week, I shared easy overnight oats, [...]

I've been working on a gut healing protocol with my friend Kim of Root and Branch Nutrition for a couple of months now, and I am learning a ton as we go. One such lesson (among many) is that overnight oats are actually a wonderful food for the microbiome. And I am all about nourishing [...]

Sitting here on a Sunday morning with coffee in hand and inspiration in my heart. Evie and I spent the morning yesterday with wonderful friends, playing, sipping coffee, running, exploring, and having important conversations face to face, heart to heart. There's so much power and vulnerability in conversations had off social media. Anyone else feeling [...]

This was an unexpected creation on New Years day when we wanted to pair our fig and sausage stuffed pork loin with a delicious warm veggie side. I am on a real honey fermented cranberry kick, and when I opened the fridge to see what to throw together and saw my jar of flavor packed [...]

I first made this recipe in the fall of 2019, after being inspired by my wonderful friend Erica of Mother Farmer Maker. I saw her make these over on Instagram, and had to give it a try. Of course, I used my favorite Beekeepers Naturals B-Powered Honey for even more of nourishing boost (use code: [...]

The began as a wish to create some food traditions around the New Year. I did some reading and research (with much more to do to truly understand the cultural root of these traditions and celebrations), and discovered that in many cultures, pork is a traditional centerpiece on New Years day to promote luck and [...]

We're going on two years of enjoying this bake as a very special Christmas Eve brunch. That said, it's great all season long, and we've had it many times as a new family favorite dinner too. Moist sourdough starter cornbread, local sausage, and best flavors of the season all in one, this stuffing is sure [...]

This recipe was born from this year's magical snowy Winter Solstice. We got an unexpected snow, leading us to drop everything and head out to the mouth of the Olympic National park for an afternoon of snow play under the trees with no one else in sight. We came home happily exhausted and chilly with [...]

Anyone else out there not convert to a brussels lover until adulthood? I was not into them as a kid. Maybe it was the way my mom hated them because of the way her mom boiled them (sorry, Grandy, but ew). Once I discovered the magic of a good quality fat, salt, flavor, and a [...]
